Affiliate Disclosure
Aether is a product data service for AI agents. The service is designed to earn revenue through affiliate commission - when a user clicks through a purchase link in an Aether API response and completes a transaction, the retailer pays a commission to Aether for the referral.
At the time of writing, Aether is in the process of establishing affiliate network partnerships. This page will be updated with specific programme details as they are confirmed.
How affiliate commission will work
Product data in the Aether API is sourced from retailer feeds provided through affiliate networks. Every outbound purchase link includes tracking parameters that attribute the referral to Aether. If a purchase is made, the retailer pays a commission. The user pays the same price they would find going to the retailer directly - commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget, not from the buyer.
What this means for the data
Affiliate commission rates do not influence how products are ranked, sorted, or presented in Aether's API responses. Sorting is determined entirely by the parameters in the requesting agent's query - price, relevance, recency, or any other supported sort option. Aether does not weight results towards higher-commission merchants or products.
